What to do with duvets and pillows?

06 APR 20 | 1 minute read

Keep your nighttime best friends in use as long as you can, as duvets and pillows are currently not recyclable unfortunately.

However, if they are in good enough condition they can be passed on to a charity organisation - some homeless charities and animal shelters can use them. If they’re really past it then they need to go in with general rubbish.

What can you do?

  1. Check with your local animal charity - they may be able to take your unwanted duvets and pillows for animal bedding

  2. Use the stuffing for arts and crafts projects

  3. Some homeless charities accept duvets and pillows, like Fresh Start in Edinburgh
