Contact your local council to check if they accept gas bottles at your local recycling centre. If they do accept them, ask staff at the recycling centre where they should be left so they can be stored safely before being reused.

Many retailers and suppliers of gas bottles will allow you to return your gas bottle once used. They are refilled and used again and again.

For Calor Gas Bottles, you can exchange online or at a local retailer. Find out more on their website.

SodaStream offers a gas exchange service for empty cylinders.

Recycling is constantly evolving and changing so check back for updates or try our recycling locator to find out what you can recycle at home and where you can recycle or pass on unwanted items in your local area.
